Gabriel had felt it as soon as it had happened. The first seal had been broken, by none other than one of his favorite knuckleheaded hunters. Now Lilith was running around trying to break the other seals and what was even worse was his brothers and sisters had descrended to Earth. Oh joy. Then Dean had been freed from Hell by his favorite stick in the mud Castiel. Yup, the clock was definitely ticking now. The end of the world was nigh. He walked the streets of Vegas where he'd been partying, sucking on a lollipop as he thought of what to do. The last thing he needed was for any nosy angels to find him. It would defeat the whole purpose of his witness protection. He wasn't going to let them ruin his fun though either. He didn't have any desire to chat with the Winchester boys just yet, but he smirked mischeviously at the thought of playing with them a bit. It'd help him keep up his Trickster guise too. First things first: check out what those scamps were up to. Incognito of course. He vanished and appeared invisibly in the house of one Bobby Singer.

Dean shifted slightly where he sat on Bobby's couch in his living room, wincing as he jarred one of his many wounds that he had obtained from Alastair. It was late, the last light outside had disappeared hours ago, and he still had no idea where Sam was. Bobby had gone on a late night supply run, claiming that quote; 'you can never have too much whiskey'. And Dean sure as hell agreed with him. But it was Sam he was worried about...if his brother was off sneaking around with Ruby again...Dean would kill him.
But he couldn't afford to think about his brother right now. The only thing that was running through his brain right now was what Castiel had told him in the hospital. He had broken the first seal out of sixty-six. It was his fault that Lucifer's Cage was being cracked open, and Lilith was the one leading that quest. He should've known that everything led up to something bigger when he made that crossroads deal for Sam. If he hadn't gone to Hell...none of this crap would be happening right now. But that was the question. Even though this had happened because, as Alastair had said...'The first seal shall be broken when a righteous man sheds blood in Hell.', but he had done so for Sam. For his brother.
If he had known all this would happen back then...what would he have chosen? Sam or the world's safety? Dean had no idea what the answer was, and somehow...he didn't want to know. If he had chosen to not make the deal...his brother would be dead right now. It was an impossible question, and besides...there was no way to reverse his decision now if he wanted to...
Everything had already gone to hell.

There was a knock at the door of Bobby's house, some random and a bit confused looking delivery guy standing on the other side with a bouquet of roses and a box of chocolates. He'd been told to bring them to this address for a man named Dean Winchester.

Dean looked up from the research book he'd been reading, confusion spiking through him. Who could possibly be coming to the town drunk's house so late at night? That's right. Nobody. He placed the book aside and struggled to his feet, wincing in pain. He unclipped his gun from this belt and clutched it tightly in both hands. He skirted down the wall carefully and peered out the window. It was a delivery guy, holding what appeared to be a bouquet of roses and a box of candy.
The hell? Could it possibly be a gift from one of Dean's many admirers that he had left in the dust after one glorious night? There were plenty in Sioux Falls. He and Sam here more often than not. Cautiously, Dean opened the door and holstered his gun. "Yeah?" He asked, his tone unnecessarily sharp.

"Are you Dean Winchester? I was told to give these to you. I guess you have a secret admirer." the delivery guy said with a small nervous smile, eying the gun holster a moment before looking back at Dean, handing him the flowers and chocolates. "You have a good night now." he said politely before quickly making his leave.
Gabriel was grinning widely in amusement from where he was still invisibly watching Dean, sitting in an armchair.
